This book is for children who love Korean-style fried chicken. Through the lighthearted story of a delivery man, it shows how chicken is made and delivered to our doors.
As a painter, I used bold lines and large, simplified figures — a style meant to evoke the look of juicy, bite-sized pieces of chicken. I wanted readers to feel their stomachs growl and crave that sweet-and-savory flavor as they turned the pages.
I also worked hard to capture the beauty of Seoul’s early evening streets — that magical time when the lights begin to shimmer and the smell of dinner fills the air.
